About Us

Good Shepherd PTO’s goals are to promote and encourage opportunities for parents to support school staff through volunteering, fundraising and spiritual encouragement. PTO also seeks to promote closer connections between school and home by fostering family nights and parent involvement.

Fire Muster Parade–September

Our school will have a float in the upcoming Burnsville Fire Muster on 9/7 at 11AM. We are looking for people to help create the float and walk in the parade.

Grandparents Day–October

Students can bring their grandparents to Good Shepherd on 10/16 to join them for chapel and show them their classroom! Come and go anytime between 7:45 and 10am.

Walk a Thon–September

Good Shepherd’s annual Walk a Thon is set to occur during the school day on 9/27. This is the main fundraiser the PTO organizes to help raise money for the tuition assistance fund, the PTO annual fund for FUN events during the school year, and additional unbudgeted school items.

Silent Auction: The Walk a Thon is a fun way to get kids involved in raising money for their school, but the silent auction is where parents, church members, and community get to be involved. We are collecting silent auction items now! Please consider donating to help support our school. Previous examples of silent auction items are tickets to an event or business, gift certificates, handcrafted items, private plane ride tours, and vacation rentals. Contact the PTO at [email protected] if you have something you would like to donate or any questions.

Spirit Week–February

Spirit Week to celebrate all of our Panther athletes will happen in mid-February. It’s always a fun time with dress up days and celebrating our awesome sports teams! Our Medallion Hunt is back again where students look for the Panther Medallion and the lucky winner gets a gift card. Spirit posters are designed by our students and voted on by them as well with winners getting a gift card. It’s a great week to show off our school spirit!

Game Truck & Movie Night–February

Our annual get-together with our younger students gathering in the gym to watch a movie (with popcorn served!) and our older students hanging out in the game truck competing against one another.  Pizza and snacks are also sold that night. Volunteers are needed and parents can sign up via the PTO SignUp page.

Pastries With Parents–April

Parents are invited to join their students for a sweet treat before starting the school day.

Teacher Appreciation Week–May

Let’s celebrate our teachers and staff and show them all the love! We need parents who would love to coordinate the activities for that week! Volunteers can sign up via the PTO SignUp page.
